We are the Central Florida writers’ NaNoWriMo group who have participated or plan to participate in NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month in November.

We have 30 days to write a 50,000-word novel! It is fun, exhilarating, and a great way to jump start the creative process.  Opening our minds and throwing out the inner editor to creating the magical wonders our own stories may hold!

Join us by checking out http://www.nanowrimo.org  today!

What is NaNoWrimo?
National Novel Writing Month happens every November! It’s a fun, seat-of-your-pants writing event where the challenge is to complete an entire novel in just 30 days. For one month, you get to lock away your inner editor, let your imagination take over, and just create!

That means participants begin writing November 1 and must finish by midnight, November 30.

Who can participate?
Anyone can who is able to write.

What is the word count requirement?
The word-count goal for the adult program is 50,000 words, but the Young Writers Program (YWP) allows 17-and-under participants to set reasonable, yet challenging, individual word-count goals.

Where do I go to register for this event?
For those who wish to participate in the adult program, register here. If you are 17 and under and wish to participate, register here.

Are there prizes if you win?
There are no cash prizes. However, you do get a downloadable certificate and other goodies emailed to you from NaNowrimo.org.
